Dr. Lawrence Tena
Lawrence B. Tena, MD is a board certified radiation oncologist in private practice at Eastside Radiation Oncology on the upper eastside of Manhattan. Dr. Tena is an attending physician at Lenox Hill Hospital, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Medicine at New York Medical College and an Associate Adjunct at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Tena previously worked at the Beth Israel Medical Center, Roosevelt Hospital and St. Vincent's Medical Center in Manhattan. He has clinical expertise in the treatment of brain, eye, head and neck, lung, gynecological, gastrointestinal and prostate cancers, as well as brachytherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery(cranial and body). In 2008, Dr. Tena was the first radiation oncologist in Manhattan to treat a cancer patient with a new technology called RapidArc Radiation Therapy and has recently been featured on national FOX TV News, CBS News, CBS Eye on New York, and the New York Post.
Dr. Tena has been published in numerous medical journals, most recently in Ophthalmology, International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics and American Journal of Ophthalmology. He has presented research at several medical conferences nationally and internationally.
Dr. Tena completed a residency in Radiation Oncology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD and an internship in Internal Medicine at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, LA. He graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA and received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University. Before medical school as an engineer, Dr. Tena completed certification in the service and installation of linear accelerators for radiation oncology at both the Philips Medical Systems Service Training Center in Crawley, England and Varian Educational Center in Milpitas, California.

Dr. Jeffrey Simon

Jeffrey A. Simon, a board certified radiologist and VetMed's Chief Medical Officer, has been in private practice Diagnostic Radiology for over 10 years since completion of his training. Dr. Simon is an excellent interpreter of both neurological and musculoskeletal radiologic studies, specializing in MRI. He currently resides in South Florida where he practices at MRI Specialists in Boynton Beach. More recently, Dr. Simon has also been interpretating studies for Radsource, a highly reputable musculoskeletal teleradiology group out of Nashville Tennessee.
Dr. Jeffrey A. Simon performed his undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester, where he graduated cum laude with a B.S. major in neurosciences and a minor in economic theory. During his college tenure, Dr. Simon was selected to attend the undergraduate honor school in biochemistry and neurosciences at Oxford University, England. Dr Simon attended Jefferson Medical College where he obtained his M.D. and subsequently completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Georgetown University Medical Center. Dr. Simon performed his fellowship training in neuroradiology at Johns Hopkins University where he also served as a clinical instructor, followed by additional fellowship training in interventional neuroradiology and spinal procedures at the University of Maryland.
Dr Simon holds the Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology from the American Board of Radiology and is a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology.
