Mike Niemtzow
President
Master in managing client experience and expectations

Mike is Co-Founder and President of VetMed Group, responsible for overall leadership and managing the client experience. Mike is passionate about leveraging technology and automating backend processes to make teleradiology the default delivery mechanism for radiology across the world. His leadership philosophy is “command by negation” which empowers his team to operate as they see fit under pre-established plans and protocols.

Prior to founding VetMed Group, Mike was an investment banker on Wall Street for seven years focusing on M&A, capital markets transactions, and private equity. This experience taught him how the best companies in the world deploy capital, people, and assets to provide exciting services and products for customers and strong returns for investors.

Originally from Maryland, Mike joined the Navy as a midshipman in the NROTC program at Tulane University in New Orleans where he graduated cum laude. He served as an officer aboard USS Milius (DDG 69) and USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) and completed two deployments to the Arabian Gulf. He is proud to be the third generation of his family to serve in the U.S. military. He graduated from New York University’s Stern School of Business with an MBA in finance and accounting in 2005.
Dr. Jeffrey Simon
Medical Director
Advanced Diagnostic and Neuroradiologist

Dr. Simon is Co-Founder and Medical Director of VetMed Group, and is responsible for all medical services and radiologist oversight. He has nearly 20 years of experience as a radiologist and five years of experience reading for Veterans at the VA. Dr. Simon is an excellent interpreter of neurological and musculoskeletal radiologic studies, specializing in MRI. His expertise is sought after worldwide, and he is often invited to speak internationally including in Dubai and other cities.
Dr. Simon graduated cum laude from University of Rochester with a B.S. in neurosciences and a minor in economic theory. Oxford University selected him to attend the honor school in biochemistry and neurosciences in England. He attended Jefferson Medical College where he obtained his M.D. and subsequently completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Georgetown University Medical Center and performed his fellowship training in neuroradiology at Johns Hopkins University, where he also served as a clinical instructor, followed by additional fellowship training in interventional neuroradiology and spinal procedures at the University of Maryland.
