For the past eight years, VetMed Group is led by its co-founder and service-disabled veteran (SDV), Michael “Mike” Niemtzow. Originally from Maryland, Mr. Niemtzow joined the Navy as a midshipman in the NROTC program at Tulane University in New Orleans where he graduated cum laude. He served as an officer aboard USS Milius (DDG 69) and USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) and completed two deployments to the Arabian Gulf. After serving in the Navy, he earned his MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He then spent 7 years working on Wall Street. In 2012, Mr. Niemtzow founded VetMed Group to benefit the veteran community.
As President, Mike has provided steady and successful leadership during his tenure, growing the company to one of America's fastest-growing private companies in 2020.
